ALI DE LA TOTA the unmistakable twin of the duo Flamenco Heavies, a name dubbed him and his brother Luis since their youth, is finally coming to the USA. Although you may have seen him as a palmero backing flamenco legends such as Fernando Moreno,El Capullo, Aurora Vargas,Chano Lobato, Jorge Pardo, Maria del Mar Moreno and Antonio del Pipa, we have invited Ali to travel across the world for one thing. To sing. Had we been in his hometown of Jerez, we would not have to look far to find him singing, in the tabancos (flamenco bars), in the juergas (intimate flamenco parties), weddings, baptisms, or the holiday Zambombas. He is an unsung hero of the flamenco world, someone who sings not for work but for his friends and loved ones, which makes for a distinct and raw spine tingling voice that touches even strangers because his voice carries a striking purity that both chills and warms the soul.

JESUS DE LA ESPERANZA grew up in the rich flamenco culture of the Barrio (neighborhood) Santiago. Jesus says that the voice of his mother, a life force singing sun up to sun down in his home is his fountain of inspiration yesterday and today. He cultivated his own voice on the streets of Santiago with flamencos like Ali and Luis de La Tota. It is these life long friendships, his deep knowledge of Flamenco cante (singing) and his depth of vocal character that bring him so far away from his hometown of Jerez to the NW United States this summer. He brings with him his recently released CD which will be sold at all of his events.
