In the words of my mother Angie Sanchez:

We had the most amazing 6 days!

We were a total of 17 people in our home: Flamenco artists, musicians, and family members.

At times it was hectic as we prepared for shows and workshops, feeding our Flamenco artists 3 meals a day, and providing places for them to sleep at the end of the day but we had many helping hands to help make this weekend memorable.

Many thanks go to Lalah Johnson, Richard Winegar (Uncle Dick), Natalia Romero, our daughter and her kids, Amalia, Lucas, Bella Martin, my husband John J Sanchez, Christina and Joel for providing a couple of meals, Kelly for bringing muffins, the beautiful and talented Maria ‘La Cha Cha’ and for Courtney, wife of Mark Ferguson, guitarist, for helping to serve during the shows and contributing to our meal tables from the bounty of her garden!  Wheww! Did I miss anything or anyone? We love you guys! On behalf of Estefanía Sanchez and Luis de la Tota, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Sometimes emotions ran high as the stress levels went up, but everone kept their cool and did their part, as we helped with watching the kids, feeding and accomadating people setting up and tearing down. In the end after the second show Sunday, we celbrated and let loose until 4 in the morning by hanging out and dancing to the from the 30’s to the present. It was amazing!
