La Casa Nueva en La Calle Nueva

La Casa Nueva en La Calle Nueva–Luis was born and raised here. Watch the video link above and you get a small taste of what it was like to live on that street in Jerez de La Frontera, Spain. Children did not have to go to a school to learn Flamenco, it was already apart of their daily lives, past down to them by mothers, fathers, grandparents uncles, aunts and neighbors.

You won’t find another Flamenco instructor in Boise, nor in the NW that has this sort of cultural experience with Flamenco. Nor will you find a teacher that has as many years as a professional (30+ years!) or a Maestro that is a respected artist amongst the legends of Flamenco and a peer to the current top performers in it’s birth land-Spain.

If you are looking for a Flamenco experience, Escuela de Ritmo is where you will find it. We guarantee, that you will have fun, be challenged, learn things you never thought you could learn, increase your self confidence and feel like you are always amongst friends

and then all of your wildest dreams will come true….just kidding…

Every hour of class we dedicate to you and your journey thru dance and music. We do it because passing on the traditions of Flamenco to you is what keeps the art form alive. For Luis, it keeps the memory of his grandparents, his parents, his maestros alive.

Join us for Class Wednesdays and Mondays 6:30-7:30pm. If these hours don’t work for you, let us know! We will be expanding our class schedule soon and we want your input!

PS–Luis is in the video standing in a red/white striped shirt in the doorway–he says it was 9 am when they were filming that documentary and way too early for his teenage self to be doing anything at that time in the morning…he had already worked all night as a percussionist in a Flamenco club in town.
